Ikea

This is another place I love to visit, IRL. I'm ready for another excursion there to hopefully buy some bookshelves. By my stage in life I was sure the built-in storage I'd dreamed of would be done, but alas I'm still waiting. It would be nice to buy some very swish, expensive book shelves and TV housing as a second-best option, but I think we'll go for cheap chic, at least it will get done. With 3 students and their plethora of books, papers and notebooks, we are overflowing with reference material that must be kept. Even dh has finally noticed that I'm fighting a losing battle trying to keep the house looking respectable so has mumbled that we MIGHT be able to buy something. What I want will add value to the house and will look good, but will cost around $3000. It's what we planned to do when the house was extended way back in 1990. However, dh complains bitterly every time it's mentioned, so I will plump for cheap and cheerful instead, and spend around $600 at Ikea. That's the plan anyway. I have to do some shopping and comparing before a final decision is made, but it will have to be soon or we'll drown in paper! www.ikea.com

That is wonderful Violet. I was hoping there was an Ikea in Canberra. There must have been once. I have been to the Moorabbin store.
