I confess - Christmas is not my best time. I get it all done, but don't enjoy it much. Now that we have another strand of family involved (from dh's sil side of things) and they have a million little kids between them, it's gotten messy. The little kids are lively and fun, but the junk they get makes the house look like a toy shop - they must spend millions. They literally filled my entry way with gifts for the kids the last time they were here - it's quite gross. Maybe I'm just mean, but how much plastic do kids need?
Anyway, this year it's not at our house and we are going away for a week until a couple of days before Christmas, so I've got just about everything organized. It's nice to have the gifts wrapped and done early, when possible.
If it wasn't about the presents, I'd enjoy it more.
