is becoming impossible. Short of locking the kids in their rooms, it's really difficult to get at anything to be able to clean it. Also, if they're locked in their rooms then it's one less room I can get into and clean!
How do other people manage to keep the house decent when there are so many extra bodies about the place?

I find when kids are little you can have heaps of them, but when they are adult size, not many actually seem to fit in a house. It is like you bump into people alot. It is hard to explain what I mean.
Our second son is always in the kitchen. He is in there now.

I have 2 kids at home now and it is the 6 year old that can totally destroy a house. There are toys strewn everywhere. She manages to take all the ornaments off the Christmas tree and tries to rearrange them leaving a mess with ornaments rolling around. It is really hard sometimes. I know what you mean.

Last year our tree was like too, a little disappointing.
