Took dd to the stationery warehouse last week, where she found a hundred dollars worth of items that she needed. Most importantly, from her viewpoint, we were able to find matching things.
Anyway, she then asked if we could go to the giant garden center next door to look for a cactus for her window sill. I do not need to be asked twice to look at plants, so off we went.
It was a ridiculously hot day, and was stifling in there, but we found the cacti and she picked out two small ones in ceramic pots for her room, and I spotted one for eldest ds. They were all 30% off so it was $20 for three nice cacti in ceramic pots.
Pleased with our selection, we walked to the cashier, only to spot an earring stand on sale. It looks like a bit like a headless Barbie, but dressed in black and with curly wire where the head and arms would be, on which earrings hang. Sounds awful, but is quite stylish and looked like something my eldest niece would want.
We bought it, so that's one Christmas present done, 11 months early!

That's great to be able to find something for next Christmas.
