I've read of these, and there are plenty of references around the web, but the thought of doing all chores at a time dictated by a journal doesn't appeal to me. If there are specific chores/errands that must be completed on a given day, I will write a note, but I dislike the lack of flexibility that working to a plan every day would have. Perhaps it's a fear of failure that puts me off the journal idea. www.flylady.com/pages/cjmain.asp

I have been reading about a lady who has started a home management notebook with 9 sections in it. Is this the type of thing you mean?

Yup, that's it. It's the Master List I have a problem with.
6.30 wake up. make bed. open bedroom drapes. 6.37 sort washing, put first load on. 6.42 open the rest of the drapes/ blinds in house, also a couple of windows. 6.50 shower, brush teeth, dress, clean glasses, clean bathroom. 7.10 make dd's lunch, my breakfast. 7.15 eat breakfast. 7.25 tidy kitchen. hurry dd along. 7.35 drive dd to train station.
etc.
ugh. It makes my skin prickle just to think of it - I'm happy to work hard and fast but hate feeling over-scheduled.
