I store mine in a linen press or hall cupboard/closet near the bathroom. Since my decluttering effort the shelves look neat. Previously I had no room for blankets, so possibly I can put some back in. They, well some, are in dd's (12) bottom drawer.
I have a tea-tree bassinette mattress in a box in the linen press, that probably shouldn't be kept too long as it might become unusable, that could be taken away to make more room.

Ditto to the linen press here. The older houses all had them, and I think they're wonderful. From top to bottom, in shelf order, mine contains: Blankets, spare quilts, knee blankets, fuse box (I love this thing - we had it installed when the house was rewired years ago - no fuse wires, just switches) bed linen, rag bag towels, beach towels, hand towels, raggy old towels used as bath mats, face washers/wash cloths spare toiletries, shampoos, tissues, toothpaste, etc. (the extra stuff I've bought on sale) at the very bottom, on the floor, lives a storage box with my drill, orbital sander, heat gun, sewing machine, and two expanding files. Every now and then someone gives me scented drawer liners, often for Christmas, which I just love in there. Br, we don't have many spare blankets, but we don't have much space either, so every bed has one on it, hiding under the mattress protector!

We have a built in hutch in our master bath. Sheets on the top shelf (I only have 1 set per bed, except for our bed). Next shelf are towels, bath cloths and hand towels.
Next is blankets. I don't have very many of those either. Just don't need them very often. I've also stored them between the mattresses.

Ah, Lynn, I've always wanted to know - do the sheets/towels get damp when stored in the bathroom? Well, perhaps musty is the right word, they wouldn't get damp if the room is ventilated I suppose. Just curious!
