My friend Jan, who passed away in 1999 after a long battle with breast cancer, used to wash her floors every Monday. I used to do them early in the week, but as a kind of memorial to her, I do them Mondays now. They have to be washed anyway, and I think it's kind of nice to think of her each Monday.
