This is about being organized, I promise.
On Sunday night I heard the horrible drip, drip from the shower. The tap hadn't felt different so I hoped that there was something caught in the washer that was causing it to drip. Turned the hot tap on full blast, then off again and did the same with the cold, like a plumber told me to do years ago. Dripping stopped, so I figured (hoped) that there had been some grit in the washer.
Next night, no dripping.
Yesterday I was sure a drip or two was to be heard, but I pretended there was no sound! Sure enough, at 10.15pm it started again. Sent dh out to turn the water off and then I went in and changed the washers in both hot and cold taps, drenching myself in the process. Fixed, working beautifully, no problems, but gosh why didn't I just do it when it first started dripping instead of leaving it until nearly 10.30 at night? The stitch in time...sure does make more sense than the last minute dash.
