I used to keep mine on the back of the sink. It was so messy and hard to keep clean that I stuck them under the sink. I found an even better idea! When I was cabinet shopping, I discovered a kit for the faux drawer board that is directly in front of the kitchen sink. It comes with 2 sets of hinges, in case you have 2 boards there, and 2 little bin things to mount to the inside. The hinges allow the top of that board to be pulled out at an angle so you can access the little bins. The have springs and hold the door open or closed. I got the kit for $10 at Menards, a local hardware store. It's very efficient at using that un-unsed space and now I don't have to bend over and dig for my sponge. Oh, the bins will pop out to be washed!

Wow Karen, that is great. I have one of those boards, so I should pick up the kit and replace it. Are they deep enough for sponges, brillo's and such. I keep my dishwashing detergent in a bucket under the sink with a scoop in it, but the liquid dish soap sits on the sink. I think that is the messiest part of the house.

I have those pull out metal bins under my cabinets and I keep all of my cleaning supplies under there.

I bought a pretty bottle that is for holding oils for cooking and I use that for my dishwashing detergent. It looks pretty enough to sit on the counter and it pours the right amount out for doing dishes.
