Written by Primo Levi, this book is about his experiences as a prisoner of war in Auschwitz during WWII. It's beautifully written, sensitive and very warm. It is a must-read, in my opinion.

Her school didn't choose it, though, which is a shame as it would have given me an excuse to buy the book!
