1 package butter recipe golden cake mix 2 eggs 1/2 stick butter, melted 1/4 cup water 1 c. chocolate chips 1/2 c. English toffee bits Preheat oven to 350ºF. Grease a 13 x 9 pan. In a medium size bowl, combine cake mix, eggs, butter, and water. (For cherier bars, omit water). Blend until very smooth. Batter will be thick. Stir in chocolate chips and toffee bits until thoroughly mixed. Spread the batter in the prepared pan. Bake for 25-30 min or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Makes 14 servings. ************************** I made these tonight w/o the toffee bits (didn't have any on hand). I increased the chocolate chips to 1 1/4 c. Kathryn said they are the best things she's ever tasted. Now mind you, I love to bake, so she has a lot to compare them to. LOL
