LOL....that's our 'English' language eh? I guess I have heard before that "toque" (pronounced t oooo k is a Canadian word. I can't add the pronunciation symbols from my computer but the o is pronounced as in ooooo like food. The 'que' is pronounced like a 'k') I'm fairly sure that word must come from our French Canadian influence (the province of Quebec is mostly french). We have two official languages here -- French and English. It is like the pictures of the 'beanies' you posted. These are usually worn in the winter time to keep one's head warm, except for the youth culture here....they have taken to wearing these hats all the time even in the summer. My son does this too and my dad who is older, thinks it's the funniest thing to wear a toque or a hat in the hot summer time. They have a lot of fun going back and forth with it. Linda
