This is a lovely little book about the home life of a Victorian-era family in their little cottage situated in North Adelaide, South Australia. The book was published in 1984, but the text was actually written in 1860 as a letter from the author, Joseph Elliott, to his mother back in England. It's a charming look at life in another era. Sounds good. Our library doesn't have it yet.
Have I mentioned Great Pioneer Women of the Outback by Susanna De Vries? I only read about Georgiana Molloy though. I don't think I expected there to be many people in the West in those times.

I haven't heard of that one before, Br. Their stories would be amazing - imagine how hard their lives must have been compared to ours now.
