2 sticks margarine 1 cup water 6 tbsps cocoa ~Cook the above until it is well mixed. Let cool. Then add the cooled mixture to the following: 2 cups self rising flour 2 cups sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla 2 large eggs 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 cup milk Mix well. Spread in a greased 1 inch cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Prepare frosting 5 minutes after placing cake in oven. Frosting: 6 tablespoons milk 1 stick margarine 3 tablespoons cocoa Cook on low heat. DO NOT BOIL. Add: 1 box of powdered sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla 1/2 cup chopped nuts Spread on cake while warm.

What a lovely cake and post lynn. Maybe sheetcake is the American word for slice in Australia? I love learning things like that, thanks.

Typically, a sheet cake is a long somewhat flat cake that is cut into squares and will usually serve several people.
A layer cake is stacked and then served by the slice.

I did a search for sheetcake and saw a pan with a cover, it was amazing. It was on the K-mart site.
