Yesterday was magazine-binge day. I was at the supermarket and, just as they plan it, I found myself reaching for the magazines positioned at the checkout as I waited my turn.
I came home with Woman's Day, which is becoming trashier, but did have a budget living insert. Also, Healthy Food, which is a terrific little magazine written by a staff of dietitians, and Women's Health.
Women's Health has some great articles about food and fitness. There was a good weight training plan in there, with some exercises that would be a good supplement to what I do already. Light weight training is becoming important to me as I'm just over 5' 3" and don't want to get any shorter as I age.
What I didn't notice until perusing the magazine more closely once home was the article on what they call adult toys. I was a bit taken aback, but then again the magazine is probably aimed at, and certainly written by, much younger women.
Do they include articles like that, which appeared to be quite breezy and factual, to capture attention, or are most younger women much more open about such things?

That reminds me, I wonder why there were no "clangers" or embarassing moments in this week's Idol? Maybe they should have guest appearances more often.
I just think the world has gone mad violet. I don't know, I'll think about it some more.

Lol, Br, I think you might be correct.
Idol seems to be awfully nice this year. They are a very talented bunch this year, though, and many of them appear to be experienced musicians. Are they helping the contestants more this year?
Must say I was shocked that Brooke was voted off - I didn't like her performance at all, however she has a terrific voice. I was hoping Sophie would go. Can't understand anything she says.

They are being very subtle in what they are doing. Though Kyle was quite awful with the Disaster comment.
I am hoping Sophie will improve, not sure what is going on there. I think Brooke's eyes in that song may have been the key?

I noticed next week Guy Sebastian is going to mentor and guest judge the idols in Motown week. I think that is great. I look forward to it.
Last week it was two guys from INXS. Before that Cindi Lauper? and Darren Hayes on seperate weeks.
