Ok..apples are in full swing here in California, so here is a quick and easy tummy tempter!!
Apple Crisp ½ cup dried cranberries (you could use raisins) ¼ cup + 2 TBsp. Flour ¼ cup+ 2 TBsp. Brown sugar ½ cup white sugar 6 Tbsp. Cold butter diced into ½ inch pieces ½ cup rolled oats 2 ½ pounds apples, peeled quartered and sliced thin
Preheat oven to 350*. Butter a 9-inch pie pan. In a bowl, toss the apples and cranberries together with only ¼ cup of the white sugar. Pour into the greased pie pan. Make the streusel by mixing the flour, brown sugar together and then cutting in the diced butter pieces until it resembles coarse meal. Add the oats to this and toss. Pour this on top of the apple/cranberry mixture, sprinkle with remaining ¼ cup sugar and bake for 45 minutes.
For a treat, serve hot with a scoop of Vanilla ice cream.

That sounds nice. I went shopping in a major supermarket because I went to the regional centre last week. They now have an extra cranberry thing that I hadn't seen before.
