Ok, ladies, those of us in Australia are heading into Spring Cleaning season. The sunlight shining in shows up just how dirty the windows are, the garden will be sprouting weeds everywhere, the bedding that's not washed weekly can now be done and hung out to dry, cobwebs will be starting to appear, and anything that's stayed damp all winter will need attending to.
I start by tidying wardrobes and general junk. Winter seems to be the time that papers and magazines accumulate, and for me Spring's the time to cull them.

We have been weeding, they were huge. Still have lots of work to do. In the North East were we used to live, at some point the soil sets rock hard and you can't dig anymore if you want to do a vegetable bed or something. We have a new bed at our new house and have one more patch to do, hopefully it is not like a rock yet. DS washed two pillows the other day. His timing was out, but they dried on an over the door drying rack inside OK. I think the fire was still on at the time. I have been watching my friend Mandy do her spring cleaning on the blog The Old Dairy. It looks wonderful. theolddairy.blogspot.com/
