May 1st 2006 Put in alot of flowers this weekend ...Zinnias by the pool, Beautiful deep burgundy petunias in the back sidewalk bed, I did my deck pots with red geraniums, white petunias and deep blue lobelia, I also did two pots at the deck stairs in pink wave petunias and asparagus ferns Dh got his fushia basket an we put baskets of petunias on the shepards hook out front ..It all looks so nice!!! Most of the plants we started from seed have died ...I'm not sure why and the ones that are still alive are struggling We had to get lettuce palnts and put them in ...the potatoes are finally doing good and the onions are really great The peas are growing really well so is my parsley...The beets and carrots are doing alright...we lost the cukes and the zucchni is dying We will have to get new plants....Oh well , we learned not to do seeds again

Sounds like it might be cold?
Your flowers sound lovely. I love fuschias but don't seem to have any at the moment. I think they would grow well here. Zinnias are my favourite flower.
In Australia people plant geraniums, but never seem to mix anything with them, sounds lovely. I didn't have much luck with lobelia at our hometown, maybe they would grow well here.
Very good Jayne!
