To me; it means, going back to the basics of life Not living beyond my means. When I was growing up; I lived in the application mountains in Virginia I still do only not where I l ived when I was growing up; till I was in about the 2nd grade I lived on a small farm in a four room cabin; with no indoor plumbing. We had an old fashioned cook stove in the kitchen for food and for heat ; and in the small living room a coal stove. Mom ; really worked hard . She made her own butter , cottage cheese ( I can still taste it; it is nothing like that you get in the stores) She usually had one milk cow Sometmes , some chickens. Dad was a iron worker and worked out of town alot Mom didn't have a telelphone for a long time She saved for a small tv for us kids We were four 3 older brothers and me. I look back now well over 40 years or so. I would never want to go back to the so called "Simple Days" For they were hard. They may seem simple to young people now But, until they have been through what I have. They would appreicate today's world Pinkroses

My uncle made cottage cheese, not sure exactly how I ate it, it was on bread, not sure if it was by itself or not.
