Here is a great tutorial on Filet Crochet. www.smartcrochet.com/tutorial.shtmlYou do need to know some basics in crocheting first before attempting this, but it can make lovely table runners, pillow covers or very easy bookmarks when using thread. If you use a yarn, you can make an afghan.

ooh I think Filet crochet is soo pretty! Once I get better at regular crochet I am going to try this. Thanks.

Oh I love filet crochet I just get so frustrated at it when I miscount, and have to undo my entire row and start over, it's either too many or not enough ;D I do well for someone that has my disorder, and has a hard time concentrating

I have been trying to make a bookmark, thanks to the tutorial on hh I hope to be able to keep going on it, it is pretty simple otherwise.
