Here's a list someone has put together of their favorite childhood books. I know I'm the odd man out, but I didn't particularly enjoy Little Women; I always found that era to be too repressed and full of ridiculous, pointless rules. They never said what they meant, either, always talking around in circles instead. It's the rebel in me! I did enjoy Alice in Wonderland, and some of the Enid Blyton books though, and always loved Where the Wild Things Are, amongst others. Anyway, here's the list, from a retired librarian: www.amazon.com/Cosy-Reads-from-my-Childhood/lm/R1CQZH865LBAS7
