What types of colours are you drawn too when you choose paint? I take forever to choose a colour. I want it to be just right and those chips just do not do justice to entire walls. KWIM. I think it is Benjamin Moore now that you can buy a bottle of a couple colours to try out and put them on your wall. I guess that would give you a better idea.
Or do you prefer plain white or off white walls.
I have had all white and I have had all colours and a variety of each.
Let's hear what colour your walls are now.
Guest Bath~yellow with blue accents Guest Bedroom~sage green with taupe and tan accents Computer Room~Navy wainscoting, red chair rail, and the tops of the walls are white. Living room, kitchen and dining are an open floor plan so they have to pretty much match. The living room is called Gingerbread, and the kitchen, dining breakfast nook, is a couple shades lighter called Sand Dune.
The laundryroom is being painted white with a border up top.
The master bed room is going to be a very light muted shade of lavender and the adjoining bath will be a bit darker shade or lavender.
Let's hear your colour scheme

I love vivid colors. Not much on pastels....except blue. Love that soft color and maybe pastel baby pinks.
I love love love greens, my kitchen and bathrooms are green and white. I love red....that deep leather look red. I would paint our bedroom that color if I could get Shane to agree to it. Right now, it's just plain ole white....boring....he loves white. Most all the walls are white with wood wainscoting and chair rail.
Your colors sound beautiful, Cara.

I am not really into white or off-white in a whole house I don't think. That is what our last house was, but I think it grew on me in some ways. If I was still there I would just change it to a brownish white if I could paint the whole house at once. The other day I saw our old house colors with a pale blue or green and that looked nice too, I didn't realise.
What brand is your living room etc. Cara? Or is that a rude question?

DH went to a paint shop recently and brought home some brochures. I remember one was a square by Dulux. Inside was a group of square pictures of rooms. He chose that group of squares as they fitted in with our house. So we elimated things too sleek, because our house is old, and I chose one square as it seemed to go with existing carpet, cream and curtains, cream and blue and green in the bedroom that needs painting the most. The color is green and very nice. So if we feel like painting after ds leaves this room, it will be Dulux green, will find name of color.

I love this thread!!..We are picking out paint colors for the family room and laundry, actually we went to Lowe's last night and got chips... I picked out Lyndhurst mushroom for the fam room, its a brown, and clear sky blue for the laundry... The powder room down here is painted an ocean blue... My living room , kitchen, diningroom, foyer and hall are all Bridal blue... ...The small bedroom is carribean blue ..The master I hate...it is a very ugly green...I wanted sage green and it turned out to be a mint green ..Dh said he will re-pain it some day .. The bath upstairs is all wallpaper and tile And my craft room is an ugly yellow...it will be changing once the teddy bear house is finished and I am moved in....I think it will be a pink room!!! ...The bear house is going to have murals on the walls...I am going to try my hand at it!!! ;D

Br, I miss told you on the paint colours. The one for the living room was called Shortbread, not ginger bread but it is more the colour of gingerbread. I had the kitchen one called Sand Dune correct. I did have a paint chip for the gingerbread colour and it was way too dark.
Jayne, Wow, sounds so pretty. You must share pics with us. OK?
