Does anyone live near a salvage yard. I wish I did. I want to find some ornate pieces. Like a fancy metal fireplace grate and some metal scrolly floor grates?

So many things there Mel. I see the neatest things like columns and doors and other things that I would love to have in my new home. I am going to have to find one..

um, well, interesting architectual pieces. lol. I saw a tv show once that used an old half-moon shaped window top for a mirrored wall hanging. I have also seen them use old wrought iron for table legs for a glass topped table. That sort of thing. I'm not after anything specific, just nosy lol.

Oh I hear you. I could probably spend hours and hours and $$$$$$$$ in a place like that. I have so many ideas in my head...That is scary....

Yesterday dh and I were looking at a country sampler magazine showing several of those elements....would you believe he told me he trashed several a few weeks ago?  ?!!!!!!! I threatened him with life and limb.....we'll see what he drags home.....lol |

Oh my goodness Shane, what were you thinking...He better come home a draggin some pretties now...Let me know what he finds..There is so many things out there that can be converted to nice things. Oh the possibilities..
