I am so excited. I have wanted to do this since we bought this house 4 years ago! Well, we sort of HAD to do it or stand on the ground to shower ;D Don has cut out the old flooring and removed the corner shower stall. Now we have to repalce the flooring under the commode. Then we can lay the tile, and attach the doors to the shower. I have been painting and have chosen "Parisian Mist" as my color. It is a very pale shade of green almost white but does have that hint. It has dried a bit darker than I had hoped but looks clean and crisp in there. We will be turning one of the mirrors sideways and installing Sconce type lighting along with some nice wall cubbies for the towels. My towel are a misty green and Coffee cream, my accessories are White metal with with a silver band and "feet". My Tile is a Texas Beige. I am so happy about getting this done. Oh and since my this is a "suite" of sorts, my bedroom will also be in the Parisian Mist, and we are getting a new Bed and bed linens, will be in Nautral and Sage Can't wait.....

I can relate Ellise. We had to do this in our last home. I couldn't beleive how many days short of falling through the room in the shower I really was, I keep visualizing how the tiles could have cut my legs. During the time the floor was off I remember the mice, yuk. My dh did the floor and we also bought a vanity from Ikea, but left the wallpanelling there as it was asbestos and we didn't want to touch it. I did get new paint at the top, blue I think, the bath was lavender and new lino on the floor and a nice light.
I am pleased you can do a bit more to your bathroom. I didn't know you haven't been in your house long.

Here are some pics during the process. I'll post more as we get done ;D photobucket.com/albums/b92/JEllise/?sc=1&multi=5The first pic of the paint looks blue, but the second one shows the true color of green. br, We didn't have to take out the subfloor, just the first layer.

The commode is different to what we have here in Australia, isn't it funny the differences? I have put up a shower curtain we had packed away and it is cream, and the walls are cream, so I am pleased with the effect, so it may give me more ideas. Our paint on the ceiling has given up. I am going to replace it with ceramacoat, which seems to go well in bathrooms.

Lovely Ellise. I got some paint catalogues yesterday, they had a color like yours in a room like our old lounge that we sold, wish I had know about that color then lol.
