I have 2 touch lamps on my bedroom from Wally World. One no longer works at the touch. It still comes on when you plug it in, but you have to plug and unplug it to turn it off. Has anyone ever repaired one of these? I am wondering if I could replace the socket with a switch socket? I need more light in our room since the builders didn't see the need for a light in the ceiling fan.

Cheryl, I am not sure but will ask dh. I believe those touch lamp have a little sensor in them and it is probably burnt out. But yes you could replace it with a regular socket too. Check at your home improvement store for the sensor or socket.

Thanks Cara. I just hate to ditch a perfectly good lamp, but I want to be able to turn it on and off! LOL!

Dh says they have a sensor. You can replace them or you can convert to a socket. Not hard to do.
