Do you have FreeCycle in your hometown and do you use it?
We have one in Pike Co. I have used it several times. We seem to be a small list and get more requests for items than items donated.
I try to give things away when I can, not always on FreeCycle but to people I know that may need or want them.
Yesterday I gave one of dh's co-workers the light fixture that I took down and replaced over my diniing room table.

We don't have one in our town but, I heard there is one in another town about 23 miles away. It is very small so far but, down the mountain in the city there is a huge one and wish I could get in on that one! It sounds like so much fun!

Phyll~
I think you can join as many freecycles as you want. I know several people who belong to a couple in towns around them. I picked up the umbrella stroller today for LibbyAnna and it is brand new..:-) Nice lady.

We have one here. I got my sewing machine table on there. There are a lot of "want" requests on ours and people get upset by them. I have not been looking at mine lately because of the "atmosphere". They just get downright crabby and I just didn't want to deal with the negativity. I have enough going on right now without letting someone else's unhappiness bring me down. Sounds selfish, but there's only so much I can handle and dealing with freecycle crabs isn't on my list. lol
