The only thing I have so far is an antique children's wheelbarrow, and haven't seen this sort of thing done before.

br how big is your porch?
We use to do a Christmas tree decorated with white lights and non breakable ornament on ours years ago. then we would wrap large empty boxes (put bricks in them if it is windy). Hang old stockings on either side of the tree, (we have a large window we set it in front of)

Fill your wheelbarrow full of white lights and poinsettias.

You guys are very good at this type of thing. It is quite a large verandah. I think I will measure it later. I know the people in the town would get a kick out of lights in the shape of a sleigh on top of the verandah roof, but that will have to go in the wishlist I think.

br you could cut the shape out of Plywood (that's what we call it here) and then drill holes in it as if outlining it, then push little lights into the holes and put that on your roof top. JAT
