I can't find a filter for our old vacuum, so dh talked me into trying one. It's really not that much considering the number of vacuums we've been through.
Does anyone here own one or do I get to do the review?

I have an old Eureka and a Hoover. Would love a review on an Oreck though as Mom needs a new vacuum and this one seems to be light enough for her to handle. So Karen, tell all please!

Well, it's not HERE yet! I was hoping it'd come yesterday. Maybe it'll come today.

It's very light and easy to maneuver. It glided right over the kitchen and bathroom carpet. The more plush carpet took a bit more effort, but nothing like the Dirt Devil Vision I used beore (that thing seemed to attach itself to the carpet and took both hands to push). It goes around the legs of the kitchen table without any problem. It even goes under the kitchen chairs! It's a little too tall to go under the kitchen cabinets, but if it hadn't been so long since I'd last vacuumed it might have sucked in the debris anyway. The suction is amazing and it didn't leave little bits after I "parked" it. It does real good along the edges going straight in (forward towards the wall) and has little brushes on the side so you can take a shot the other direction, along the wall. The brushes pull the stuff out from the edge so the vacuum can suck it up. I have a couple places where the carpet meets bare floor. It didn't spit out a bunch of dust when I did those edges like my old vacuum. I can't get it in around the toilet, of course, and it doesn't have a hose. I did come with a little cannister vacuum that has a shoulder strap, a crevice tool, dusting brush, hard floor/wall tool and DELUXE hard floor/wall tool (it's big and has a "brushes on/off" switch) plus 2 extensions. I have no doubt that little booger would suck up a bowling ball! It would also work well for de-cobwebbing and dusting around windows and doors, the stairs, litlle quickies... The bags aren't very big though. The vacuum doesn't require as much storage space as my Dirt Devil and the cannister vacuum would easily fit on a shelf. It's about the size of my little Bissle spot remover thingy.

It comes with a 30 free trial. They mean you can send it back after 30 days for a full refund. The return label is already on the box! I also got a free Verilux lamp for my sewing/crafts. I could have chosen an iron, but I already have 2 of those.
They say it comes with a free 1 year supply of bags. It comes with a bag in it, an extra bag plus 8 more. That's 10 bags, right? The instruction manual says you must change the bag every month to maintain the filtering system. I'm thinking a years supply of bags would be 12 then. I might call them on that just out of oneriness.

So Karen, did they send you more bags..Hope so. How is it working now. Are you still pleased with it..I am thinking I might invest in one when mine bites the dust, which I hope is soon, so I can save my hearing..LOL

Well, I guess I should have called them sooner. The company is based in New Orleans and I know they have a lot of more important issues to deal with right now. I suppose I could contact a dealer about the bags.
It's working great! The only frustration I have is having to get the canister to go around the potty. Considering it now though, it probably is easier to do all the floor, then go around with the hose instead of pulling out the hose, putting it back, pulling it out, putting it back, tangling it around the cord, untangling it..... you know what I mean, wrestling the big, heavy vacuum for the hose multiple times. The cnister is very light and easy to use, plus it comes with more attachments than I'll ever use.
