Not the best subject, and so far so good here.
I found a tip in Australian Table which sounds good.
"An equal mix of sugar and bicarbonate of soda/baking soda is a chemical-free way to kill c ockroaches. The mixture is toxic to them, but they won't be able to resist a bit if it's scattered in a damp, dark place."
