Starting on the Clothes

I know Carolyn has a De Clutter thread going. But I want to challenge everyone to make an effort to clean out all your clothing.

If it doesn't fit toss, donate, or sell.
If you haven't worn it in a year toss, donate or sell.

If you really want to keep it ask yourself these questions.

Will I wear it again? then pick a date to wear it and do it.
Why am I keeping it? if it's beacues it is a favorite item then wear it, if you are waiting to lose weight to wear it and you have more than say 10 lbs to go, then get rid of it.

I will be doing Daniel's closets and dressers today and just wanted to see if anyone else was up to it.

If you plan on keeping the items, then launder them and store them if they are seasonal items. You can pick up the large space bags at walmart for just a few bucks.

I did this last week for all 3 boys. I could not believe how much "stuff" we got rid of.

Now if I could just convince my hubby to go thru his countless "work clothes", I'd be happy.
After all, how many work jeans/shirts can he wear at one time??!!!!

I think with jeans you are pretty safe. When one pair wears out just go on to the next pair. You won't have to buy any for quite awhile by the sounds of it.

I just did this back in the summer for dh and I . I gave away two large bags of clothing, not to mention what I tossed. We have too much.

I know that feeling all too well, I have a young lady coming by tomorrow to see if she can use any of the clothing I had as well as stuff for her little boy

Well the first one fell through, but a girl Daniel goes to school with came by and she picked up almost everything I had!!! *yippee* I am so glad she could use the clothes many still had the tags on them!!
