Br, one of my favorite books ever is "Is There Life After Housework" by Don Aslett. I've been cleaning by his principles for 20 years, and every time I re-read his book I feel inspired again. He has also written one on de-cluttering, I think it's called "Freedom from Clutter" which is also great, he's very positive and practical.

That sounds good if you get inspired when you re-read the book, it must be a classic. I will see if I can rent it, although the library here is not as good as Bundoora where I first rented Julie Morgenstern's book.

I may have to order it one day soon from the online bookstore. Here is what they had at the library: Clutter clean-out : and other stories / Emma Thomson. [Book] I found a site that has Don's four points (there may be others of course) for working out what to throw out: www.junkbusters.com/aslett.htmlthey are good. "It is junk if: it's broken or obsolete (and fixing it is unrealistic) you've outgrown it, physically or emotionally [or...] it will shock, bore, or burden the coming generation."
