I am (trying) to do a top to bottome clean of my bedroom. i did my kitchen last week and it inspired me to tackle my room, which is the last place that gets a thorough cleaning. I sure wish the QUEEN of clean (my mom-cara) was here. She'd have this place whipped in shape in no time. I did learn a thing or two from her over the years but she is truly queen. I mostly struggle with the stuff that comes from our home-based business. Our office is in the bedroom. Does anyone have any cheap storage ideas for things like catalogs, paperwork, c.ds ?

How many catalogues do you have Tamara? I am using a dresser that was in the kitchen once.

Not tons, but enough! And several different types- you know to hand to clients. So I need to keep them accesible (sp?) I've been trying to keep my eyes open for treasures at garage sales, but no luck yet! I did get my room CLEAN, and I love it!

Tami,
I have seen cereal boxes with the top and half the front sides cut out to make a holder for magazines so they stand upright.
As for cd's I bought a plastic cd box, and I removed them all from their jewel cases, and tossed those. They take up too much space. In a case you can store two cd's back to back in little sleeves and put them in the box like that. In the back I keep the directions for the software.
I think Paperwork is best files upright in hanging files. I keep two baskets on my desk. One is for things to take care of and the other is for things that need files.

Apparently there are soft covers for CDs now, I didn't take it all in when DH was telling me this. I have seen them, they are on the CD when the online DVD company sends them in the cardboard folder inside the envelope.

There are soft covers br. They are great. You can put two cd's in each sleeve. Save lots of space. Also I use them and then toss my jewel cases, which I think are useless.
