Now that it is cooler in the US/France? and not so hot here in Australia, maybe some more tossing going on! Well if you have things to declutter that is.

Yesterday I managed to get two shopping bags taken away of cloth flats/nappies.
If it is not foggy today and the sheets dry I will attempt to sort through those.

I had the sheets dried and folded quite early, and then attacked the linen press as we call it here. I am amazed. I actually got rid of half I think. There are two shelves with sheets on them now, and one is really just antique type sheets, the old-fashioned crisp sheets, that really I don't use as we like fitted sheets and doona covers. That is one thing that seems to vary alot between the countries. It is really nice to see the neat shelves. If I could freshen the sheets up it would be even better.

This morning after all the talk about throwing things out etc. I tackled the children's bookshelf that I have been looking at for weeks. I was a little tired afterwards but it was a easy enough job with my pleasant little helper, my 4 year old daughter.
She chose which books she would like to keep and helped me with the ones she thought her sisters' would like to keep. We ended up with about 3+ banana sized boxes and I didn't feel like taking them to the op-shop but dd really wanted to go there. That is good because they are gone now.
I did a little dusting etc. and rearranging of the shelves and it looks neat.

I got nearly two full plastic grocery shopping bags full of clothes to the op-shop yesterday. I let dd choose, I hope it is a good stragedy, the daughter who is 9.

My daughter asked me last night if I had given away one of the boys trademark doona covers. It is lime and orange dots and stripes, they had them for a long time and they still looked good except one had a hole. Since both boys don't sleep in that bunk at the same time I gave it away, silly or not. She thinks that the doona has been made into a costume for gymnastics! So it lives to see another day, doing something really exciting.
