Pre-Christmas de-clutter

The pile of things to go is ready and waiting at the front door. It will be nice to see it go tomorrow morning. (or else )

De-cluttering seems to be a particular challenge in households with kids as they don't take kindly to getting rid of excess or even obsolete stuff. Yet if asked when they last used/read/wore a given item, they'll think and then nominate a date a half dozen years ago.

Pre Christmas here seems to be the messiest time. I am so lucky just to get the tree up. Not sure why that is.

I know this spring was so mild, it would have been a great time to do more things, although we did do a bit. This morning I don't think it was too hot for dh to do his shovelling etc. Well, that is outside decluttering lol.

Anyway, I think maybe I won't be doing any decluttering until autumn, but I guess you never know. I seem to be getting more done as the kids get older, but not on a consistent basis yet.

Oh no, I completely forgot to put out the large trash items last Thursday. This thread reminded me of that. I will have to wait till next month. I have been in a de clutter mode lately.
