By the waist band or the legs? I did hang mine by the waist until they started blowing off the line. I'm hanging them by the legs now and they seem to dry much faster.

I've hung mine by the legs for a long time-- not sure now, why I started doing that, but it works for me.

By the legs here too, they dry faster I think.

By the waist, but I'm not sure why. Maybe because that's what my mother did?
