Our youngest wears clothes her sister wore in 2003. Only problem is that they are sometimes too long. Should she wear them around the house, the long ones, or would I be best to turn them up twice and do a blind hem. Would that look OK?

Can they be folded up, br, or would she get too tangled up? Then they could be turned down for washing. I used to turn them up and do a blind hem, but by the time the hems were let down they'd have those white lines around them from being washed repeatedly.

The white lines are really ugly aren't they. She may even grow into the length next year. Some of her trousers stay rolled and some don't. Today she looked really cute in Fred Bare hippy kind of pants, way too long. But never mind she went to a fun day in the park in them. I just keep thinking I could do something better apart from buying new clothes. Maybe a little catch on either side? Like you say, lots of dirt could collect in there.
