What a great article br. Thanks. I love hanging my clothing outside but am still waiting on dh to put up that line. LOL.
When I lived in KY in 1975 while dh was layed-off from his job in Michigan I dried all our laundry on the lines on the porch. It was wonderful and I actually enjoyed hanging them up and the smell after they dried. You can dry on a porch during the cold or rain if you use your porch.

Oh Ellise, what a hoot. I can see the doggie now, running wildly around the yard, wearing someones unmentionables...

We HAD a doggie like that too, Ellise. Only ours wasn't satisfied until he tore them to shreds. Needless to say, he no longer resides here.
I do have a clothes line and use it from time to time. My children always complain about how stiff the towels feel (I even use extra fabric softener), and my response is "Think of your towel as an exfoliater." They reply, "An ex what???" lol

For those little softies who don't like rough towels, I throw them in the dryer for 10 minutes after taking them off the line and it gets the worst of that cardboard feel out of them!
