I need some advice for buying a new iron. I had a nice Black and Decker but dh knocked it off the ironing board and now it won't fill with water or steam and the handle is broken..
I would love to know what brand you all have, if you like it or would recommend it?
TIA

Well, I paid $65 for mine at Sam's a few years ago. But recently I saw some at Big Lots for $40. I'm not sure who all carries them. But I have seen them at those 2 stores.

Maybe you should attach an electronic gadget to the ironing board that beeps. The closer he gets, the louder it beeps. lol...I need one, I mean several of those for my entire crew. Can you believe my HD (just thougt I'd shake things up a bit) ran over a car vac one time? I'd been using it and left on the side of garage he parks on....the side now...NOT the middle, mind you.....when I told him, he said, "Well, I didn't see it....there's never anything there. How was I supposed to know you put the car vac there??" Well, duh, how about l-o-o-k-i-n-g next time? ? LOL.

A few years ago this happened to me, that is why I now have a newish iron and a very new ironing board. I miss the old ones.
dh forgot to check on the kids seatbelts this morning. A kid at school told him that they saw a policeman writing down his number. dd didn't have her seat down to even sit on, running late he said. Scarey stuff.

Mind you she is nearly 9, the other kids are a bit casual here, I hope I can explain to her, that she should have spoken up somehow!!

I have a Rowenta too - or I should say DH has a Rowenta. He irons his own shirts every morning. Our old iron stopped steaming, so my Mom got him a new iron for Christmas one year! LOL!

Can you believe my HD (just thougt I'd shake things up a bit) ran over a car vac one time? My H owes me a dust buster for this very reason. Sad thing is, HE was using it NOT me, so he SHOULD HAVE KNOWN! ARGH!
