This is fun to do with the little ones! You need a BIG bowl and a one cup measure. Be sure to add them in order so the kids can see the "explosion"! I used this recipe when I taught preschool with colored water to demonstrate mixing colors and got a big kick out of the kids reactions! I found this same recipe on the website, Shepherd's Hill, and that's how I knew to use it in rinse water...minus the food coloring, of course! ;D
Fabric softener
2 cups cold water 1 cup baking soda 1 cup vinegar
Place baking soda in LARGE bowl. Add the vinegar over it and while it's bubbling, pour cold water in and mix. Store in sealed container and shake before using to combine all ingredients. Add 1/4 cup of mixture to rinse water. Be sure to give it a shake before using.
