Even though I do not like to camp, per sa, Beth, it sounds quite awesome sleeping at the foot of a glacier.

It was indeed awesome, Carolyn - and COLD! We went in winter, as that's when the rivers are lowest. Two weeks after we were there, people were ice-skating on the glacier lake; when we were there, there were icebergs and frozen waterfalls.
We slept in the back of the Land Rover, and the condensation meant frost on the INSIDE of the windows. Also, there was a 5gal jug of water, and it was a solid ice block the next morning.
But, it was gorgeous. That full moon on the mountains was breathtaking. I'd do it again, and again, and again.
