During the last Sunday of each month our church observes communion as a congregation. After a wonderful sermon, our Pastor had the communion elements passed around, and we did the usual thing. Then he had us sing the hymn, "When the Roll is Called Up Yonder". It just really struck my heart, the joy of knowing that one day I'll see Jesus in heaven, the blessed assurance of knowing my name is written in the Lamb's book of Life! It was such a fitting hymn to sing after partaking in communion. I was trying to think if I have a favorite hymn, but I just like way too many to pick one. Anybody out there able to pick just one hymn as a real favorite? ;D

Oh my Tammie. That would be so hard. I love so many. But I especially love *His Grace Reaches Me* and Oh Beautiful Star of Bethlehem* I could probably list many more but those are the two that come to my mind.

I love all the great old hymns too!!!!!...Our service is all contemporary music, but this past Sunday the worship leader slipped in, "Turn your eyes upon Jesus"...It was sooooo beautiful ...Lifting my hands to the Lord and singing those words!!!

Thanks for sharing gals, you all picked hymns that are favorites of mine too. It is amazing, how different hymns come to my mind, during the different trials that I go through. There are the comforting and encouraging hymns, like "How Great Thou Art" and "It is Well with my Soul". And then there are the rejoicing ones too...like "Power In the Blood" and "Count Your Blessings". Love them all!

Hi Tammie, I'd have to say, like most of us.........there are many. However I think my favorite one is.......As The Deer. I just love the music to it and I have it on my computer that came with a forward I believe. I can sit and close my eyes and calm completely down and pray or just relax. It has been a favorite of mine for a long time now.
