Is anyone watching Rome on HBO? I missed it Monday night so will have to catch it sometime during the week when they replay it. I love shows like this and although it is very um.... shall we say explicit. The story plot is fascinating and I love seeing things on history.

Yeah Carolyn, I would hazard to say very explicit! But then again what I have read on the Roman Empire the producers of this show aren't far off the mark. LOL Like I said the story line is very good, IMO. It is about Ceasar and his men and their day to day lives. As we all know from reading about the Roman Empire, lots of intrigue and murder etc... And the women! Whoa, they have their fingers in everything and really do control a lot of the politics that go on, but do it in the um... bedroom most of the time. ;D You would think men would learn from history huh? LOL

Deed, Daniel has been watching it. He loves anything that has to do with the Roman empire and the days that surround it.

Ellise it is very very explicit. Um you may want to watch an episode for yourself. Although I'm sure Daniel has heard much worse in a boys locker room, this is at times bordering on being an "X" rated type show. But that's just my opinion. Lots of sleeping around going on.

Hey - is Rome a series or a miniseries? Sounds like something Alister and I would enjoy - yes, even the explicit bits. ;-) Here, I'm betting it would be on free tv, though - all the HBO shows are on what would be called network tv in the US - Sex and the City, Six Feet Under, Sopranos, etc etc etc.

Does The Age of Empires game have any Roman content? BR sorry I am just getting to your question. I have Age of Empires II on my computer (came with it) and I don't think if has any Roman content. It is a medieval game though. Yes Beth it is a series, so you should be seeing it soon.

br & Deed, as you progress in The Age of Empires you can create the Roman Empire (Don & Daniel play all the time on the computer, I think they are up to the Gold Expansion edition? Not sure but a very popular game with my two.

Oh, man - AoE 2 - I am hooked! I play play play then manage to hide it away for a few weeks or months, then am tempted to play again and can hardly stop! ;-) I've gone from trying to not only win but trying to also collect the most gold, stone, wood and food! I play with one computer partner and three computer enemies, most often.
