LOL, BR. I dub you southern, ok? I think you have class and charm and discretion, which counts for a whole lot in my book. I admire you for your resourcefulness and your kindness in posting. You are very gracious and kind, never snubbing. You have a great attitude and take great care of your family. I guess everyone in the south would have their own definition of what a southern "belle" is.....mine is pretty much what my grandmothers and mother passed down to me:
1. Always smile, even when you don't want to.
2. Always be gracious and hospitable, even when you don't want to.
3. Mind your manners and say thank you, please, yes ma'am or yes sir. Whatever is fitting for the moment.
4. Cross your legs at the ankles only. HA!
5. Never put your lipstick on in public. (Why? I don't know, either. I've broken this one countless times)
I could go on and on BR, but I won't. Southern ladies were once taught to be genteel in all areas of their lives, never brash, rude, loud or aggressive. No complaining or whining. Sadly, as I age, I see less and less of feminine charm and class.

Picked up The Town That Came A-Courtin' at the library today. Looks like a great book.

Thank you Lynn.
I think I know what you mean about the rules. I find the more I stay home the more casual I get.
My daughter who is 9 gets asked many times a week to talk a bit quieter. I can only try lol.
