Since I subscribe to a quilting magazine, I guess my name has gotten to some sort of list and I've been getting all sorts of flyer's and advertisements for sewing and crafting books.
I got one the other day, and instead of immediately throwing it out (like I usually do) I decided to browse through it. This little brochure advertised many books on quilting that they wanted me to buy...basically, it was a club. Anyway, I found 3 books that really interested me, but I didn't want to subscribe to the club to buy them...then an idea hit me!
I went on-line and checked out my local library web site, I did a search on each book, and behold, I found all three of them!!!! ;D
So, I reserved each one under my name and library card number. I already got two of them this weekend, that did not take long. I was so happy to find these 3 books available through our library system, I can get them and browse through their projects.. and then copy what I want (if anything) and return them: all without it costing me a cent!! Love my library!!
So, just a thought for the rest of you if you see books you may be interested in but don't want to spend the money on...check your library, maybe it's available for free.
