by Maurice Sendak was one of my favorite books. I discovered it as a young teenager when we still lived in California, and brought it with me to Australia where I read it to the kids about 20 years later!
There is an exhibit of Maurice Sendak's work at the Jewish Museum here in Melbourne, Australia, at the moment. There was a discussion about it on the radio, but they kept coming back to "Where the Wild Things Are" which seems to be a favorite with all ages.
