There are a couple of food magazines over here which are put out by the two different major supermarket chains. There's also a large number of magazine-style cookbooks, usually covering one aspect of cooking, such as a style, like Italian, or a dish, like desserts. Then there are the women's magazines, which all have a food section.
A fairly new one is called Healthy Food and the articles are written by dietiticians. The emphasis is, of course, on healthy eating, and while it's filled with more facts than recipes, I'm finding it really interesting. There's a bit of myth-busting in there as well as suggestions on improving the diet. This month had a macaroni-cheese makeover. To lower the fat content they used low-fat cheese and low-fat condensed milk, with an egg to thicken it up. Actually it sounded pretty unappealing to me, but then I use low-fat cheese anyway - it was the lack of butter (only a couple of teaspoons!) that put me off!
What I like best about this sort of publication is that the information is current, so there's always something new to learn (which may turn out to be wrong of course..).

I got Table today. It did have some recipes to try, nothing exciting though.
