Wow, where do the months go? I am excited to start the thread for the September reading list. I took back my books to the library and there were two waiting for me. They are: Thorn in My Heart by Liz Curtis Higgs, a book set in Scotland in 1788. And, At Home In Mitford by Jan Karon. New authors for me, I will see how I go.

Love Jan Karon's works. I'm can't put them down once I start. I think my mom has them all.
Still reading the Harmony novels by Phillip Gulley. Love them as well.
I checked out a new author, at least for me anyway, Anita Shreve. Was totally disgusted by the book, so back to the library it goes. Too adult for me!
Have you read any of the Miss Read series, BR? They're kinda cute, nothing too exciting.
My mom loaned me Levi's Will and River Jordan. New authors to me. I also received one of Beverly Lewis's books from my secret sister at church.
Now if I can just find the time to read them all!

I had a quick look I haven't had breakfast yet. Are they set in an English village? There seems to be alot of them. Must look on the library catalogue very soon.
There are 3 pages on the catologue so I will have to sort out which to put on my list first.

I'm not sure, but I don't think so.
Lori Wick is pretty good, but some of her books, esp the more recent ones, are too sappy for me.
Francine Rivers is another fav of mine. I loved her Leota's Garden. Beautiful.
Jane of Lantern Hill is an old fav of mine. I just reread it a couple of weeks ago. The author is L.M. Montgomery. Love all her works and have most of them.

Br,
Have you started the Jan Karon books yet? She also has an At Home in Mitford cookbook. I want to check it out asap!

I read some Jan Karon last night for a little while, I was a little tired. It is quite a nice read. I expect the plot is thickening.

I have finished Jan Karon and also The Senator's Other Daughter by Stephen Bly. Now I have started on Fair Is The Rose by Liz Curtis Higgs.
