It's not the same as curling up in a chair with a good book, but must be on a par with reading an encyclopedia, I think. It can be a great way to learn!

I agree lynn, the thought of an online book doesn't appeal, not sure how they do it, maybe the experience with a laptop is different. They get a bit hot though on a hot day. I agree too Violet I have learnt alot I think from the internet. I'm not sure but I think I have learnt the most from online friends recipes and things I could try out at home, like growing and cooking winter squash. Maybe emails count too? I have been thinking alot and think maybe I should broaden my book reading material to include some more things that happen in the world or have happened. I learnt the correct name of what my Mum called toffee from the Scottish historical novel the other day, but can't find it again, was too caught up in the book at the time. I wanted to look that up on the internet, they said it was like fudge. So I guess yes, it is like an encyclopeadia.
