This was interesting, a very young book. The language wasn't always nice, also there were a few, ahem, adult themes in there, however, it was very readable. It's the true story of a woman (she calls herself a girl, but at 29, I reckon it should be woman) who moves to New York, leads a glam life and ends up with $20,000 of credit card debt. Dumb, yes, but I don't think she's alone. Anyway, she moved into a cheaper apartment, sold a ton of clothes etc. on ebay, dyed her own hair instead of paying hundreds to a salon, and also started a website called savekaryn.com. She provided information and amusing stories on the website, and asked people to donate money to help reduce her debt. She did repay her debts, despite a job loss and various crises, and once they were repaid she closed off the paypal facility on her site. The site still exists, and has links to the original site. She's since gone on to write a couple of other novels.
