Is the Australian Family Circle available?

All I could find on the net is a vague reference to it folding after 33 years.

It was a magazine, that I remember years ago had great recipes, and it still did really.

A while back I read somewhere about the circulation dropping because of the plethora of other magazines that cover the same ground, ie cooking, home decoration, so they were going to stop publishing it. Bit of a shame as it was a very family friendly magazine.

A food magazine that I'm enjoying, much of which is written by dieticians, is Healthy Food.

I found a recent article about perhaps the UK family circle:

I haven't been able to find anything to replace the Family Circle. This week I tried Australian Country Collections.

It's back! The winter edition is available now. All the things I used to complain about in the old Family Circle are gone. I must admit it is a bit staid now. I will get to read more of the detail tomorrow. Good if you want to learn things, like more about making roasts, quilting etc.

I spotted one near the express aisle at the supermarket as I zoomed past, but then completely forgot to grab a copy by the time I got to the regular checkout.

What was the issue like, Br?

Well it has some Jodie Picoult, so that takes makes it more interesting. It also still has a page on creating happiness like it usually does or did at one time. It is still Family Circle, but not so much geared to 20 somethings perhaps, more for everyone. I think it still has the shopping pages, no stories about people's lives so far.

Reading the contents, it has an article about making coffee at home. One about clutter, 10 classic reads, Jodi's Change of Heart, puzzles, coffee desserts. It still has good shopping, and has knitting patterns, and a dog basket with liner.
